My beloved Steve. My heart smiles when I think back to the day our lives crossed, me-- a crazy busy college student. You-- a sweet, tiny, baby kitty with huge eyes and even bigger ears. Sitting on my doorstep as if you had been placed there by a sweet angel. I picked you up because you were so stinkin' cute and my heart will never let you go. For 15 years you have been by my side. Good, bad, ugly, move after move--never with tussle, always with a snuggle. You have made me laugh. You have been by my side when I cried. Funny toys, funny moments of retching up grass, great soccer games, stinky food and all.

I have loved you for every moment of your life. My heart will be forever etched with your face and the love we shared. I love you Steve, the Cat, and will miss you forever.

He LOVES it. He would sleep in his sled if we would let him. He asks every morning if he can go sledding. Please. Please. Please.
Brian has been such a champ with taking him {a lot}. They have found some really fun hills and met some fun kids too. Garrett met one little boy who is just as crazy as he is! He calls him "my new friend Miles". I am not sure if we will see him again but Garrett talks about him all the time!
Yesterday we went to a great hill in Solon that is part of the parks system here in Cleveland. It was really fun and Garrett was so excited to show me how he goes over the 'jumps'. He is so brave! :)It keeps snowing so I am sure we will be going again soon.
Oh! and just for fun...this was one of Brian's trips down the hill...
Nicolehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13221727997110478431noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1368034226680531365.post-69112879598679201022010-02-08T16:43:00.004-05:002010-02-08T16:47:51.741-05:00Walking in the door the other day I over heard a conversation between Garrett and Brian. I had to stifle my laugh because to Garrett, it was serious...

Garrett: Daddy, do you mind if I call you Brian?
Brian: {pause} um, why?
Garrett: Everyone else does.
Brian: No. You can call me Dad.

Sometimes I wonder where this child comes from. Dormant No More!Oh my! The time has gotten away from me! We finished the kitchen (shame on me) back at the end of November and since the very last stroke of paint was applied, we had family in town and the holidays upon us! Time just went and went and is still going!

Here are a few shots of the finished kitchen. I will have more...as my neighbor (who is a professional photographer) is going to come over and photograph it for me! Of course so I can scrapbook it and have a coffee table book made of before and after photos!!
Enjoy! As I am certainly doing each and every moment of every day! :)
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 266px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_vQ6oFvR4wEc/S0zmFO9QpvI/AAAAAAAAAwM/JS3MzTowJYI/s400/refrigerator.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5425964628663379698" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 266px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_vQ6oFvR4wEc/S0zmSEBTt7I/AAAAAAAAAwU/6B6LYDLSetc/s400/island.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5425964849065867186" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 266px; height: 400px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_vQ6oFvR4wEc/S0zmgsUU8tI/AAAAAAAAAwc/G1KsRJ_ut7g/s400/table.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5425965100401226450" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 266px; height: 400px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_vQ6oFvR4wEc/S0zmmdrcAsI/AAAAAAAAAwk/Ql-C0nM0Hjk/s400/built+in.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5425965199550841538" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 266px; height: 400px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_vQ6oFvR4wEc/S0zm6YJrlBI/AAAAAAAAAws/GnbL4ciyiXo/s400/stove.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5425965541664461842" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 266px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_vQ6oFvR4wEc/S0znCce4HCI/AAAAAAAAAw0/wZScpLQL5oU/s400/counter+corner.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5425965680266058786" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 266px; height: 400px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_vQ6oFvR4wEc/S0znHLMv85I/AAAAAAAAAw8/4-xDLDiezmE/s400/love+the+sink.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5425965761525969810" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 266px; height: 400px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_vQ6oFvR4wEc/S0znLxYbdnI/AAAAAAAAAxE/tZOd5s4-cIs/s400/light.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5425965840494982770" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 266px; height: 400px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_vQ6oFvR4wEc/S0znRqRQD7I/AAAAAAAAAxM/Dt7SdIJH3Pk/s400/hall-side+door.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5425965941665042354" />Nicolehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13221727997110478431noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1368034226680531365.post-13057840911151497272009-10-29T21:34:00.005-04:002009-10-29T21:51:01.566-04:00Kitchen updatePhew! It was a fun day. When he woke up, he ran into our room and asked, "Mama, is it my birthday"? When I said 'yup', he ran downstairs singing {yelling} and stopped dead in his tracks{silence} when he saw the table piled high with presents! He was so excited! He turned to me and says, "Mama, did you do this?" in this sly kind of tone, like I was tricking him. It was so cute. He was shaking he was so excited to open presents. {It reminded me of my sister. When we were kids, she would get so excited on Christmas morning that she would throw up}
It was a weekend full of fun surprises. Grammy and Grampa arrived on Friday to start the fun, Saturday we went to the circus, and Sunday we had a party with his friends.
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 267px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_vQ6oFvR4wEc/SudB45vKGiI/AAAAAAAAAvs/Fl3_H59d55A/s400/DSCF5279.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5397355124253923874" />
Some fun things about you at 4:
You are still really {really} LOUD
Funny, funny, funny
You love to say "fart" and giggle right after
Daddy is your biggest buddy
Your *smile* lights up the room
sooOOoo smart
learning to write and spell your name
Full of life and spunk
You love to explore and find out why things are the way they are
Talkative. We actually decided to {well had to} update the whole electrical box if we were going to update the kitchen. There was only one 3-prong plug in our old kitchen and that was on the controls for the stove. I had to use my big mixer while balancing it on the coiled burners. A great feat in itself.
I was a little nervous watching Joe scope out the kitchen for where things are going to go...thinking the whole time that he was going to find something that wasn't right and it was going to cost us a lot more money. He worked hard all day and had it laid out and wires strung up throughout the kitchen by sundown. The can lights had looptie loops in the cieling and the outlets were waiting for a box to be put in place.<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 266px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_vQ6oFvR4wEc/Ss1IcxQAOxI/AAAAAAAAAtg/7fzw3XaISz0/s400/DSC_0608.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5390043988126350098" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 266px; height: 400px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_vQ6oFvR4wEc/Ss1GqY14byI/AAAAAAAAAtQ/fGSp8THN2Kk/s400/DSC_0624.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5390042023069249314" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 266px; height: 400px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_vQ6oFvR4wEc/Ss1Gf6tIcAI/AAAAAAAAAtI/hLVXkMx7OVI/s400/DSC_0614.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5390041843180793858" />
And today, Voila, we have lighting!
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 266px; height: 400px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_vQ6oFvR4wEc/Ss1HNS1uWfI/AAAAAAAAAtY/hPR9Y25eZi0/s400/DSC_0637.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5390042622753397234" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 266px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_vQ6oFvR4wEc/Ss1I-c01nTI/AAAAAAAAAto/7Dk4GlDsLTY/s400/DSC_0633.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5390044566759251250" />
We did run into a little snag. Our upstairs tub started to leak through the kitchen ceiling, through the cabinets, through the light fixture, onto the floor to make a GIANT mess about a year ago. Yes, 1 year ago. We knew we would have to cut into the ceiling and if we were going to re-do the kitchen, why do that twice? We waited. Well, on Monday, the plumbing needed some fixing. New pipes. Re-routing. A big ol'price tag. BUT we can now use the upstairs shower and have 2 bathrooms that work! Yeah!
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; Rick, Dan, and John. Ready for the tear down/out of our kitchen. It was puring rain and every time they went out to put something in the dumpster, they came back in soaking wet! {I felt really bad about this so I made more coffee. It's not like I could bake cookies}

Mission Day 1: Take out as much of the cabinetry and walls as they can.
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 266px; height: 400px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_vQ6oFvR4wEc/Ssqcx2SrJhI/AAAAAAAAAq4/HQAeu9Dz9W4/s400/day1.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5389292284303582738" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 266px; height: 400px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_vQ6oFvR4wEc/SsqdI2hmgtI/AAAAAAAAArA/FqB1K65-QLI/s400/day+1_1.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5389292679503184594" />

I have been in love with the idea of a bungalow kitchen nook and the booths that go with them. They are sweet, charming, and so classic to the bungalow style house. What can't you love about them. While trying to design this new kitchen, we have talked and talked about having some built-in seating made to keep with the bunglaow style. Well, look what they found when they took off some of the wall...Why, I wonder, did they take those out?

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 266px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_vQ6oFvR4wEc/SsqZtLf10iI/AAAAAAAAAqQ/eUDRrN65N3k/s400/day+1_2.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5389288905561723426" />

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 266px; height: 400px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_vQ6oFvR4wEc/SsqaOs7WgLI/AAAAAAAAAqY/aWKqrFaqQEE/s400/day+1_3.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5389289481471164594" /><img style="float:right; margin:0 0 10px 10px;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 266px; height: 400px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_vQ6oFvR4wEc/SsqamAVcLzI/AAAAAAAAAqg/sRZQYVPzx7E/s400/day+1_5.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5389289881817853746" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 266px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_vQ6oFvR4wEc/SsqdrwuOz7I/AAAAAAAAArI/rrRnV88-yj0/s400/day+1_7.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5389293279240966066" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 266px; height: 400px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_vQ6oFvR4wEc/SsqeHnZEb0I/AAAAAAAAArQ/2Qfj_D3mV8U/s400/day+1_6.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5389293757772623682" />Nicolehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13221727997110478431noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1368034226680531365.post-40761164014118332272009-10-04T21:57:00.022-04:002009-10-05T22:59:35.131-04:00Our Kitchen Renovation Begins!We started our kitchen reno last week...I have been without a 3-prong adapter for my computer because we needed it for the microwave and coffee pot. :)
Let me take a walk through the old kitchen and help you understand why we decided to update! This is our backdoor. We use{d} this door for our main in/out door.
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 266px; height: 400px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_vQ6oFvR4wEc/SslTHJRcdkI/AAAAAAAAAoY/AuP_crrOsts/s400/1.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5388929811338786370" />
This is the "back hall" which is only a small entry way which goes into the kitchen. There were two large cabinets that went up to the ceiling which I could never reach because I am kind of short. We had a counter here too which caught everything! and was always a mess! Shoes, purses, junk, junk, and more junk!
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 266px; height: 400px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_vQ6oFvR4wEc/SslTjP2ZAhI/AAAAAAAAAog/0UfFS6nOsI8/s400/2.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5388930294140699154" />
Heading into the kitchen there was a small peninsula that held the drop-in style stove from 1960 {we even found the brochure for this stove and it was actually dated with 1960!} above the stove there was a hood...a hood which took at least 1o minutes to "warm-up" before the jet engine sounding wind tunnel began to blow whatever you were cooking back in your face! And a lovely shelving unit which was so obtrusive that even I had to duck to talk to someone standing on the other side.
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 266px; height: 400px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_vQ6oFvR4wEc/SslUT84fzgI/AAAAAAAAAoo/A-70En96E1c/s400/3a.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5388931130862849538" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 266px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_vQ6oFvR4wEc/SslVeibIFDI/AAAAAAAAAow/isXki4BdxSk/s400/3.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5388932412250526770" />
As you walked past the peninsula the refrigerator was on your right and the "nook" was off to the left. Let's talk about the nook...that we never used because it was too small for us to sit in there. You could get in but you could not get out if anyone else was with you. It had 9 foot ceilings with cabinets built right up to the ceiling. Again, storage option, nice. Could I ever get in there? No. So, we turned it into the "cats den" and fed the cats in there, with their own table too!
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 266px; height: 400px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_vQ6oFvR4wEc/SslWCwDlqwI/AAAAAAAAAo4/ytc5Hw-JhS0/s400/4.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5388933034385189634" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 266px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_vQ6oFvR4wEc/SslW9dTS2qI/AAAAAAAAApA/75L3m7okQdY/s400/5.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5388934042963073698" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 266px; height: 400px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_vQ6oFvR4wEc/SslXRMPPVhI/AAAAAAAAApI/EJ9tWRNyLjc/s400/6.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5388934381980046866" />
Our sink was under a window on the wall with most of our cabinets. It was a great sink but the window was something to complain about. It never opened and it was really old. It was always dirty because it was so high up that we couldn't really get to it to clean in...excuses excuses. When you really don't like something, it's easy to ignore it and pretend you don't see it. :)
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 266px; height: 400px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_vQ6oFvR4wEc/SslYCK7M5CI/AAAAAAAAApQ/YM4iu_-UPh8/s400/7.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5388935223441155106" />
And just a few more things around our kitchen that will surely not be missed!
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 266px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_vQ6oFvR4wEc/SslYdq9OTjI/AAAAAAAAApY/wHKwYTjYCKE/s400/back+wall.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5388935695896038962" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 266px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_vQ6oFvR4wEc/SslY3BrBpnI/AAAAAAAAApo/Wmov5EbKaAQ/s400/DSC_0528.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5388936131490457202" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 266px; height: 400px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_vQ6oFvR4wEc/SslYryEMu4I/AAAAAAAAApg/o7qEUAzvYl8/s400/doorbell.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5388935938322512770" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 266px; height: 400px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_vQ6oFvR4wEc/SslZh5M__9I/AAAAAAAAApw/1yqjXMRplBI/s400/light1.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5388936867951411154" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 266px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_vQ6oFvR4wEc/SslZw-oyoxI/AAAAAAAAAp4/ZAnwnBxdQ5I/s400/light2.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5388937127108190994" />
Ahhh...change will be good!Nicolehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13221727997110478431noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1368034226680531365.post-10058086316223507052009-09-04T21:54:00.009-04:002009-10-05T22:59:17.028-04:00A NEW KITCHEN!!! say it with me...A NEW KITCHEN!!!We bought our house in 2003 two months before we got married. We were on a serious hunt to find a house that we would love and grow in. One Sunday morning our real estate agent called us and told us he knew of a house going up for sale that day and we could go see if before they listed it, so off we went. We drove up to 3307 Dellwood and fell in love. I loved the tree lined street, the kids were out playing, the sun was out, and it wasn't baby blue {not that it isn't a nice color it just isn't for me}. We went through the house looking at things {like a blue leather couch}, talking to the current owner {while she showed me her kids school schedule}. Not noticing the lovely colors of paint they had used {crayola red} or tons of wall paper on the walls or the black bathroom...and who needs to look at the appliances {from 1960} or faux butcher block counter tops??? I LOVED it. I loved the layout and the bones, everything else was cosmetic, right???

Fast forward 6 years...and we have decided to FINALLY realize the kitchen we use on a daily basis and that we cook Thanksgiving and Easter dinner in for 8+ people every year-- HAS TO GO! It is not cosmetic. It is red plaid wall paper with yellowing edges that peel. It is gross flourescent under cabinet lighting, and faux butcher block counter tops. It is a 1960's stove that has the controls built into the wall {???} and Boy is it going to GO! In about 2 weeks...it is going down to the studs! Only to be rebuilt with pretty new cabinets and updated electrical and new appliances! A WALL to be forever removed! I cannot wait!! I am scared about the whole thing since we will be without out kitchen for 6-8 weeks {yikes} but when it's done, I have a beautiful picture in my mind's eye.

I will {definitely} be keeping up to date with photos and the struggles that go with such a huge renovation project. Yahoo!! A new kitchen!Nicolehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13221727997110478431noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1368034226680531365.post-21838385557068185652009-08-30T11:14:00.005-04:002009-09-16T22:19:39.512-04:00Isn't she lovely!<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 242px; height: 400px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_vQ6oFvR4wEc/SpqYfzvVh9I/AAAAAAAAAn0/V17UctAGSuI/s400/beautiful+mama.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5375776777452226514" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 266px; height: 400px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_vQ6oFvR4wEc/SpqYp_YD3bI/AAAAAAAAAn8/q-KXC60zdkQ/s400/baby+bump2.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5375776952374517170" />
My sweet friend Jami asked me to take some photos of her preggo belly because she is due in 2 weeks! It seems so touche to say that but when I look at him sometimes I wonder where the time is going.
A friend of mine is pregnant and I think watching her sweet belly grow makes me think back to when I was pregnant. I don't really remember it...I don't know why. Maybe God makes us that way so we'll do it again {mine was a bit scary}...then again, maybe not. She and I talk about babies and things she is exicted about. Strollers, cribs, bedding, and the stuff that comes along with a baby. I talk about things Garrett tells me or asks me. Like this morning at 6:30am..."Mama, when my cousins get here today, can I buy a race car"? {Um, no.} It's fun watching him grow. It's hard somedays. Really hard. But most of the time we can laugh about something he either said or did that day. :)Nicolehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13221727997110478431noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1368034226680531365.post-6036932979566269942009-06-23T09:00:00.003-04:002009-06-23T09:09:05.424-04:00Happy Father's Day!<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 266px; height: 400px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_vQ6oFvR4wEc/SkDTT5HJ8oI/AAAAAAAAAnc/QTg7nn6hMPE/s400/cheese+it%27s+father%27s+day.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5350508696017957506" />
As Brian's Father's Day gift, he and I went out to see a comedian Saturday night with some friends. It was a lot of fun. The comic wasn't so funny but it was still lots of fun laughing and being out! I have not been "into" it lately so i am sorry if you look to see updated things and you always see the same 'ol thing. :) Hopefully with the nicer weather and us being outside more, my camera will be out more therefore making me want to post new things!
March whipped by in a flash. April is now almost over and I don't know where the time is going! My parents were here for Easter. We had a really nice time. The weather was great so Brian and my Dad were able to get out on the golf course. It's so nice to have visitors. I just hate when they leave!
Garrett and I were at the Botanical Garden last week when it was raining. We needed to get out of the house so we went to see the butterflies and splash in their puddles.
I will post some more pictures soon. We had beautiful weather over the weekend. Garrett and his friends were all in the sprinkler and my new tree is blooming!!
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 266px; height: 400px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_vQ6oFvR4wEc/SfcMKJTWixI/AAAAAAAAAm8/P_kXW3yVjH4/s400/jumping_in_the_rain.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5329742052451584786" />Nicolehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13221727997110478431noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1368034226680531365.post-32770191015553409012009-03-18T20:52:00.005-04:002009-03-18T21:13:14.367-04:00Spring has been in the air!<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 266px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_vQ6oFvR4wEc/ScGbQlSdYqI/AAAAAAAAAmc/onWS3sThHDg/s400/beachn+it+in+march.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5314699744463643298" />
We have been outside all weekend {+ a few days} enjoying the warm weather. We went to the beach to dig and play. Only in the north can you have a great day at the beach wearing hats and on-and-off-and-on again mittens. The crocuses are up and the buds are starting to show up on the trees. Oh I can't wait for the Spring!
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 266px; height: 400px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_vQ6oFvR4wEc/ScGbog7CgdI/AAAAAAAAAmk/azUKIBzsbV4/s400/kings+of+the+hill.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5314700155608531410" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 262px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_vQ6oFvR4wEc/ScGb6KO3HII/AAAAAAAAAms/t8-wYRwAAE0/s400/jump+daddy.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5314700458755300482" />Nicolehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13221727997110478431noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1368034226680531365.post-89471857116783094752009-02-26T15:58:00.002-05:002009-02-26T16:00:10.545-05:00Cute baby!<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 266px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_vQ6oFvR4wEc/SacCv1TTjnI/AAAAAAAAAmM/Oq1-1JqBhrA/s400/gabriel.bmp" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5307213706664578674" />
I took some photos of my friend's boys the other day {last week before the illness set in}.
